The Canon 18-55mm lens is really not a good lens, especially at the wide end. I would recommend upgrading your lens. A good general purpose that would serve you well is the Canon 24-105. My wife has it and it works wonderfully.

I facing a problem, could you guys help me pls? i am using 18-55mm canon lens for portrait photos, while taking group photos , all my subject seems to be out of focus, couldn’t figure where am i going wrong?
